PRLog (Press Release) –
Aug 12, 2009 – Chicago (word count: 180)
Rayconnect Inc. is introducing a new range of self-heating fluid connectors for integration into truck pollutant removal systems. These connectors will assist in keeping the tubing above -11°C to prevent the urea-based fluid used in the SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) process from freezing*. Rayconnect will be exhibiting at the SAE Commercial Vehicle Engineering Congress and Exhibition in Rosemont, Ill., on Oct. 6 and 7, 2009, as part of the Truck Tech France Pavilion, booth 607.
Rayconnect engineers are currently developing the best compromise in terms of the energy consumed by these connectors, which have a power supply and are heated by a thermistor. The goal is to minimize energy consumption and reduce the circuit heating time in order to offer a more economical alternative than externally heated connector systems proposed by competitors.
Rayconnect Inc. is a worldwide leader for fluid handling quick connectors within the Automotive and Heavy Duty Truck industry. With North American headquarters based in Rochester Hills, Michigan, Rayconnect designs and manufactures connection solutions for fluid transfer systems, including fuel, fuel vapor, engine coolant, oil, air and refrigerant.
